This site is maintained by close students of Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, the first Western woman to be recognized as a Tulku (reincarnate lama). Enthroned by His Holiness Penor Rinpoche in 1988 at Kunzang Palyul Choling-Maryland Jetsunma has been teaching Mahayana and Varjayana to western students in unique ways. Building stupas, saving animals, and now, making music are just a few of her methods for creating opportunities to develop the mind of compassion.
